Who We Are
ShopTrack is a department management tool built by Tractivent for CTE and automotive programs at community colleges. It is used by instructors and department staff — not students — to manage shop equipment, service records, purchase requests, and department budgets.
What Data We Collect
ShopTrack collects only what is needed to operate:
- Staff email addresses (for account access)
- Equipment records entered by department staff
- Service history and maintenance notes
- Purchase requests and budget data entered by administrators
- Activity logs for auditing purposes
ShopTrack does not collect student records, student personal information, grades, or any data covered by FERPA. No student data of any kind is stored in ShopTrack.
How We Use Data
All data is used solely to operate ShopTrack for your department. We do not sell data, use data for advertising, or share data with third parties beyond the infrastructure providers required to operate the application (Vercel for hosting, Supabase for the database — both SOC 2 Type II certified).
Data Security
ShopTrack is hosted on Vercel (SOC 2 Type II certified) and uses Supabase PostgreSQL (SOC 2 Type II certified) for data storage. All connections use HTTPS/TLS. Access is restricted to authenticated accounts provisioned by your department administrator. Role-based permissions separate admin and instructor access.
Data Retention & Deletion
Your department's data is retained for the duration of active use. Full data export is available to administrators at any time via the built-in export tools. Upon request, all department data can be permanently deleted within 30 days.
